Examples of framed shoes

Framing David Beckham's football
boots was a
bit of a challenge,
particularly because the boots
required a lot of depth to the frame.
We put a double mount in the front against the
glass and constructed
two shelves for the boots to sit on. |

 |
The photo to the
left shows the shelf more clearly.
We lined the shelf and box in black mount board
to show the
white boots off to their full.
The signatures are on the tongue of
each boot and the photo was also signed. |
We framed Tim
Henman's tennis shoes using the
same method,
sitting them on two shelves.
On both frames the box was approximately
4" deep and
was attached to the back of the frame.
The outside of the
box was then stained to
match the colour of the frame. |
 |
 |
We lined the inside
of the box with green suede
to match the mount.
A photo is an effective way of showing
who the shoes belong to.
With this photo we showed Tim Henman in action at
the
French Open where he wore the shoes. |
